Scott L. Thompson DVM
Dr. Thompson graduated from Purdue University in 1979 where he earned his BS and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degrees. After graduation, he practiced small animal medicine in Carmel, Indiana from 1979 - 1983. On April 1, 1983 he took over the practice at East Side Animal Hospital from its previous owner (Dr. Edward Weidenbenner). With the help of his wife Beth, his children, a dedicated staff, and a lot of long hours and hard work, he has worked to develop ESAH into a caring, high-quality facility with the mission of helping people and helping pets. Dr. Thompson and Beth currently own four dogs: Lab/chow mix – Smokey, maltese mix – Lucky, long-haired Dachshund – Shiner, and lab/mastiff mix - Mosby. Dr. Thompson loves animals of all types and has a special interest and expertise in Avian and Exotic medicine. Dr. T enjoys life outside of work by exercising, walking his dogs, wood working, and gardening.
Alice Stewart Wyatt DVM, CVCP, CCRP
Dr. Alice is a native of Evansville (she even worked at our hospital as a teenager!). After graduating from Harrison High School she attended Purdue University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Upon graduation, she moved to Florida where she worked until joining ESAH. She has a special interest in senior pet care, rehabilitation, and a handful of alternative therapies. In May 2010, she extended her duties and became certified in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM). VOM is a healing technology used to treat a long list of conditions from lameness and arthritis to behavioral issues and many more. In 2014, she became certified in canine rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee. In her spare time, Dr. Stewart Wyatt enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and her pets Barley, Hops, Rye & Birdie, being outdoors, or traveling. When you meet Dr. Alice, she is sure to greet you with a 1000 watt smile and a big hello!
Brianna, “Bri,” Practice Manager
Bri graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and a minor in Management. She started her career at East Side Animal Hospital in 2007 as a Client Service Representative and became the Practice Manager in 2010. Bri enjoys spending time with the loves of her life, husband Dustin and daughter Harper, plus her close friends and family. She's got her hands full at home with her furry babies, as well: 2 dogs, Memie and Sully, and a cat, Syd-Vicious. A few of her favorite things are traveling, decorating, and trying out new recipes at home. When asked what she likes most about working at ESAH: "I enjoy meeting new clients and patients, as well as, working with our wonderful established clients and patients. It's a great feeling to be part of a team that does everything possible to help patients live long, healthy, and happy lives."
Rachael, Lead Registered Veterinary Technician
Rachael graduated from Harrison College in 2013 and immediately started her career here at East Side Animal Hospital. In 2016, Rachael was promoted to become our Lead Registered Veterinary Technician. Here at work, you will find Rachael caring for our hospitalized and surgery patients with a loving hand. Rachael spends a lot of time with and is super close to her family - mom, twin brother, Justin, and younger brother, Kyle. She also has 5 rescued dachshunds at home that take up a lot of her free time. Rachael likes working at East Side because her fellow staff are like her second family!
Jessica, Registered Veterinary Technician
Jessica attended Murray State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in animal health technology. Jessica started working full time at East Side Animal Hospital in 2007 but has recently moved to part time due to an offer she couldn’t resist—she now works full time at Harrison College teaching in the Veterinary Technology Department! Jessica and her husband, Josh, have a son, Jakob; two dachshunds named Willy and Izzy; and a cat named Syd. Outside of work, Jessica likes to spend time with her family and friends. She also likes to work in her yard and play golf. Jessica says she loves coming to work knowing that she will see and learn something new every day and, of course, she really enjoys seeing all of the cute puppies and kittens!
Addie, Registered Veterinary Technician
Addie obtained her Associate and Bachelor degrees in Veterinary Technology from Purdue University prior to moving to Evansville and becoming a part of our veterinary team. During summer breaks, Addie worked at a veterinary hospital and has also worked at a low-cost spay/neuter clinic during an internship. Addie has realized, since moving to Evansville in 2014 that she really enjoys the area and she and her boyfriend purchased their first home recently. Addie's hobbies and interests are: spending time with the boyfriend, reading, fixing up their house, spending time outdoors, and playing with her pets (dog- children: Chance and Evee, bunny-child, Whiskey, and water dragon –child, Chakra)! When asked what she loves most about her position here at ESAH, Addie said "Teaching clients how to keep their pets and family healthy and happy, loving on and caring for our patients, and working along-side the most dedicated staff you'll ever meet!"
Kelsie, Registered Veterinary Technician
Kelsie graduated from Murray State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Additionally, she is currently working on becoming certified in Canine Rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee and has been working closely with our personal, on-staff Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioners, Dr. Alice Stewart and Stacie Clark, RVT. Outside of work, Kelsie loves playing and watching sports, trying out new baking recipes, and spending time with her family which includes 2 sisters and one brother. When asked what Kelsie enjoys about working at East Side, she replied "I like being able to be an advocate for animals and getting to see them get better after seeing our doctors and staff".
Carley, Registered Veterinary Technician
Carley, originally from southern Indiana, moved to North Carolina with her husband after graduating from Harrison College’s Veterinary Technology program in 2013. While in North Carolina, Carley worked at the animal hospital that she completed her externship at, then moved to a new location and worked at a 24/7 emergency animal hospital until recently moving back to Indiana in late 2015. When she has free time, Carley spends it with her husband, their newborn daughter, and their animals. Welcome to the East Side Family, Carley!
Devon, Registered Veterinary Technician
Devon recently graduated from Harrison College’s Veterinary Technician program and joined the East Side team after interning at an equine & small animal clinic in Austin, TX. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Devon moved to the east coast when she was 18 and then moved 4 years later to the Evansville area. Some of Devon’s favorite things: being outdoors, kayaking, going to the gym, and cuddling her big Newfoundland puppy, Moose! Devon loves working with the amazing animals, clients, and staff here at our hospital!
Kelsey recently earned her Associates in Veterinary Technology from Harrison College here in Evansville and completed a 10-week externship at C.R.O.W. (Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife), located in Sanibel Island, Florida. Kelsey comes from a family of four which includes her loving parents and a twin brother. Kelsey's favorite hobbies include game nights with friends, movie nights with her grandma and mom, and helping out others whenever possible. At East Side, Kelsey enjoys "being able to work with a helpful staff that wants to make a difference in each patient that come through our doors."
Shelby, Veterinary Assistant
Shelby joined East Side as a veterinary assistant in April of 2016. She is currently enrolled in the Harrison College Veterinary Technology program and loves it! Growing up, Shelby has worked on a farm which really led to her wanting to work with animals as a career. Some of her passions include soccer, reading, and spending time with her fiancé and animals (of course)! Shelby says about working at East Side, “I like that everyone really cares about you and how close the staff are!”
Carol, Client Service Representative
Carol started working here at East Side Animal Hospital in 2003. Her husband, Carl, is retired so they enjoy spending time together gardening and working in their yard. Carol is also very close to her two daughters and her grandchildren. Carol's pet family includes a Rottweiler named, Kenzie and a Dachshund named Sophie. Along with spending quality time with her family and pets, Carol enjoys reading, cross stitching, walking, singing in her church choir, and collecting stamps and Precious Moments.
Jordan, Client Service Representative
Jordan joined the East Side team in late 2012. She has always been an avid lover of all animals & has a soft spot for dogs (pitbulls in particular) and exotic animals. She has also owned various species of snakes, geckos, bearded dragons, hedgehogs, rats, rabbits, chinchillas, and sugar gliders. Jordan's crew at home includes her boyfriend, Wesley, sweet son, Sawyer (born 11/13/16), plus four furry family members: her four pups (Jynx, Dozer, Blue, & Murphy). Jordan's days are spent mom-ing, being a TV/movie buff, and writing when she's not here at ESAH making our clients laugh and smile. Working at ESAH has given her a chance to learn more about animal medicine, create friendships with clients and co-workers, and give Dr. T a hard time!
Katy, Client Service Representative
Katy has always been passionate about animals and caring for her own pets throughout her life has only made that passion grow. Katy is the middle child of five and was raised in the tri-state area. She loves music, dancing, spending time with her family, and cuddling her 2 cats, Klause & Simba. She also loves all things Disney and food. At East Side, Katy enjoys creating relationships with our clients and their pets!
Breanna, Client Service Representative
Bree has cared for her personal dogs (plus a rat, gerbil, and mice) throughout her life and also worked/volunteered at a local Humane Society while living in West Lafayette. Bree’s family includes her husband, amazing little girl, Charlotte, and her sweet pit mix, Zeus. She loves to spend her spare time running and playing catch with her pup, knitting, and spending every second she can with her daughter. Bree loves meeting new furry friends every day!
Katelyn, Client Service Representative
East Side Animal Hospital is Katelyn's first job in the animal field but she has grown up around and cared for animals her entire life. Katelyn's family consists of her husband, Nathan, and their beautiful baby boy, Waylon. Furry family members include 2 dogs (Colt, a Yorkie, and Lady, a Bloodhound) though Katelyn would have more if her husband would let her. Some of Katelyn's favorites include working out, watching/playing sports (football and basketball are her favorite) and of course, spending time with her little family plus her sister and niece. Katelyn enjoys working at East Side because of the positive atmosphere, enjoys talking to our clients and of course being around all of the sweet patients that come in!
Elizabeth “Beth,” Housekeeper/Animal Caretaker
Beth has worked at East Side Animal Hospital since 1994 and is an integral part of our organization. She has three brothers, one dog, and four cats. In her spare time, Beth enjoys reading, running, walking her dog, and weaving. Beth’s favorite thing about working at East Side Animal Hospital is working with the animals, which she does very well!
Allison, Animal Caretaker
Allison is currently a student at Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center (SICTC) in the Animal Sciences/Pre-Veterinary class, volunteers for local pet rescues (in shelter and at adoption events), and personally fosters dogs, as well. One of Allison’s passions is training dogs and helping owners resolve their pet’s behavioral issues. Additionally, Allison loves art and paints, sculpts, and takes photographs in her free time. At ESAH, Allison "likes spending time with our patients and their owners and has enjoyed getting to know the knowledgeable and hard-working staff."
Theresa, Animal Caretaker
Theresa has always had a passion for animals and has centered her life around helping animals and learning as much about them as possible. She has been a stable manager at Triple H Stables for over eight years now, has taken classes to prepare for a career in the animal field, and has recently been accepted into Harrison College’s Veterinary Technician program! In addition, Theresa and her six siblings have owned cats, dogs, horses, and a unique variety of farm animals. In her limited spare time, Theresa loves horseback riding (including trial and 4-H shows), writing poetic prose, training horses and dogs, and doing yardwork. At East Side, Theresa most looks forward to having the opportunity to better the lives of animals and having one-on-one time with animals and clients!
Allie, Animal Caretaker
Allie has always had many animals (all kinds!) from the time she was very young. She decided to find a job working with animals to see if it would lead to her future dream career. Allie started working with us as an Animal Caretaker in February of 2016. When not at school or working here, Allie reads, enjoys exercising and playing soccer, babysitting and pet sitting. What does she like most about working at East Side? “Working with and taking care of animals and making new friends with her co-workers!”
Kenzie, Animal Caretaker
Kenzie started working at our veterinary hospital in early 2017 in our kennel department. Since she was small, Kenzie has been around pets and has had a strong interest in veterinary medicine and animal care. When not in school, Kenzie likes to spend her time working and being as productive as possible. Some of her other outside interests include puzzles and mind games! What does Kenzie like most about working at East Side? “Seeing the animals every day and being able to make a little difference by helping out!"
“The doctors and staff at East Side Animal Hospital are outstanding. They are courteous, caring, and thorough! I board my dog frequently there, and she likes it almost as much as her home. I know I can trust the staff to take good care of her.
