Dr Scott L. Thompson
Dr. Thompson graduated from Purdue University in 1979 where he earned his BS and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. After graduation, he practiced small animal medicine in Carmel, IN from 1979 - 1983. On April 1, 1983 he took over the practice at East Side Animal Hospital from its previous owner (Dr. Edward Weidenbenner). With the help of his wife Beth, his son Brett, his daughter Brianna, and a dedicated staff, he has worked to develop ESAH into a caring, high quality facility with the mission of helping people helping pets

Dr Alice Stewart, DVM, CVCP
East Side Animal Hospital would like to announce the addition of Alice Stewart, DVM, CVCP. Alice is a native of Evansville. After graduating from Harrison High School she attended Purdue University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Upon graduation, she moved to Florida where she worked until joining ESAH. She has a special interest in senior pet care, rehabilitation, and a handful of alternative therapies. In May 2010, she extended her duties and became certified in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM). VOM is a healing technology used to treat a long list of conditions from lameness and arthritis to behavioral and many more. More information can be found at www.vomtech.com. In her spare time, Dr. Stewart enjoys spending time with her two dachshunds (Beans & Barley), being outdoors, or traveling. Stop by today and help us welcome her to our team!

Angela, a Newburgh native, graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with an Associate's degree in Applied Sciences in Veterinary Technology. As a long standing team member, she has been working at East Side Animal Hospital since 1992. She stays busy with her cat Penelope and dogs Abella, Millie, and Princess Chanel. Angela also enjoys remodeling and decorating her home, reading, traveling, and gardening. At East Side Animal Hospital she really likes working in surgery, doing dental procedures and caring for sick pets.

Jessica is a Registered Veterinary Technician at East Side Animal Hospital. She attended Murray State University where she earned her Bachelors degree in Animal Health Technology. She has been working here since 2007. Jessica lives in Sommerville with her husband Josh, son Jakob, dachshund Willy, and their outside cat Syd. Outside of work Jessica likes to spend time with her family and friends. She likes to work in the yard and has recently started playing golf. Jessica loves coming to work knowing that she will see and learn something new everyday and of course, she really enjoys seeing all of the puppies and kittens!

Hannah graduated from Southridge High School in 2002. She then received as Associates degree of Applied Sciences in Veterinary Technology from Morehead State University in 2005. Hannah and her husband Matt live in Huntingburg, IN with their Pit-bull mix Dexter, chocolate Lab Jake, Chow mix Sadie and cat Skippy. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, playing with her pets, and shopping. Hannah likes working at East Side Animal Hospital because of the dedication the entire staff has to the clients and their pets and providing them with the best care possible.

Bri graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Management. She has worked at East Side Animal Hospital since 2007. Bri enjoys spending time with her friends and family as well as her cat Syd and dogs Memie and puppy Silas. When asked what she likes most about working at East Side Animal Hospital she says, "I enjoy meeting new clients and patients as well as working with our wonderful established clients and patients. It's a great feeling to be part of a team that does everything possible to help patients live long, healthy and happy lives."

Beth has worked at East Side Animal Hospital since 1994 and is an integral part of the organization. She has three brothers, two dogs, and four cats. In her spare time Beth enjoys reading, running, walking the dogs, and weaving. Beth's favorite thing about working at East Side Animal Hospital is working with the animals, which she does very well!

Ryan has always been interested in the veterinary field and decided to join our team, in June 2010, to further her interest and gain some experience in a job field that she enjoys. In her spare time, Ryan enjoys music, cars, and being with her family. In June 2009, Ryan had a son, named Shane, who is her pride and joy. She also enjoys spending time with her two cats, Haiku and Phil. Ryan loves working at East Side Animal Hospital because of the animals and work environment!

Sammie started working at East Side Animal Hospital in August 2010. She has always had a love for animals, especially her two family poodles, Joie & Charlie. She also has a gray and white cat named, Hermies. In her free time, Sammie enjoys riding horses and spends time working for a haunted house and a wrestling company. Samantha has hopes of becoming a groomer in the future and eventually would like to help run a grooming facility. She likes working with the staff here at ESAH and loves meeting all the cute animals.

We welcomed Jessica to our team in December 2010. She has a deep love for animals and has always dreamed of working with them - what a wonderful way to get started! Other than working here, Jessica has volunteered at the Humane Society and also has had may pets of her own. When Jessica is not at work, she attends school at the University of Southern Indiana and loves spending time with her friends and mom. In the summer, Jessica enjoys playing volleyball and softball. She also likes to visit her summer camp where she boats, tubes, and camps. We're very happy to have her as a part of the ESAH team!

Savannah joined our team mid-summer 2011, as our newest animal caretaker. She is in her last year of high school and would like to pursue a career with animals in the future so this is the perfect job for her! Other then spending time with animals and her family, Mike & Robin (parents), Hannah (sister), and Patrick (brother), Savannah enjoys shopping, road trips, and hanging out with friends. When asked what her favorite part of working at ESAH is, she replied "I love building relationships with the other workers and the animals! Each animal has a unique personality and its fun getting to know them all!"

Heather has had 5 years of previous experience in the veterinary field before coming to work for East Side Animal Hospital. She and her husband, Andy, recently moved to Indiana from Tennessee where Heather developed a huge love for the Tennessee Vols. In her spare time, Heather enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with her family (father Greg, mother Cheryl, and brother Jeremy), Vols sports, and playing with her dogs Aida and Abbie.

Amanda came to work for ESAH in July 2011. Though this is her first time working in the veterinary industry, Amanda has always had a love for animals and has owned quite a variety. Amanda lives with her two daughters Bailey, who is 9 years old, and Tatum, who is 5 years old. They also own a young kitten, named Lily. When shes not working, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and playing Words with Friends!

During the past year and a half, Jessicah has been attending classes through Purdue to become a Registered Vet Tech. She has always had a strong love for horses, and currently owns three: Beau, Piper, and Grace. Jessicah keeps very busy with school, full time work, and taking care of her horses but in her spare time she also enjoys playing softball, hunting, fishing, and riding her horses. We're glad she's now part of the ESAH team!

Stacie graduated in 2008 from the Vet Tech Institute at the International Business College in Indianapolis and passed her Indiana State Boards in early 2009 to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Stacie has worked at East Side Animal Hospital since graduation and does a wonderful job. In her spare time, Stacie volunteers at the Yankeetown Fire Department, reads, knits, and spends time with her two golden retrievers, Diesel and Kase, and her cat, Heath. Stacie and her husband, Kyle, are expecting their first child in early 2012 – congrats!

Megan started working at East Side Animal Hospital at the end of summer 2011. Prior to coming to work for us, Megan worked in a 2,000 head hog barn. Megan was raised on a farm with both cattle and pigs so she has been working with animals her entire life. On August 27th of this year, Megan married Josh, her now-husband. She recently started Vet Assisting classes and will soon be finishing them. Megan and Josh have 2 basset hounds; Laila and Charlie, and one Chesapeake Bay Retriever; River. In her down-time, Megan enjoys riding with her husband on their Polaris Ranger, spending time with their families, and fishing. She is a wonderful addition to our ESAH team!
